Global Ministries of Intercession is a frontline ministry that is dedicated to teaching and equipping men and woman thru the power of Intercession because we are called to wage war in the realm of the spirit, pulling down strongholds over the nations of the world. We are dedicated to fasting and praying until the kingdom of God is established upon the earth. Also to stand in the gap for the Body of Christ until the fullness of Christ is seen in it.Our goal is to open up schools of intercession that will help those who have an assignment on their lives to fulfill their God ordained mandate. In 1Tim.2:1 it declares: I exhort therefore that first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men; for kings and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior. Scripture calls us to pray for many things: for all who are in adversity; for the sending forth of laborers in the gospel; for all converts and those with the call to pray themselves. This is the ultimate assignment that God gave to the church and the Body of Christ at large.

Quite simply, intercessory prayer is the act of praying on behalf of others. The role of mediator in prayer was prevalent in the Old Testament, in the cases of Abraham, Moses, David, Samuel, Hezekiah, Elijah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel. Christ is pictured in the New Testament as the ultimate intercessor, and because of this, all Christian prayer becomes intercession since it is offered to God through and by Christ. Jesus closed the gap between us and God when He died on the cross. Because of Jesus’ mediation, we can now intercede in prayer on behalf of other Christians or for the lost, asking God to grant their requests according to His will. “For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5). “Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us” (Romans 8:34).

 Jesus is our Example!

The beginning of Jesus' ministry on earth was begun with prayer. As Jesus was baptized marking the beginning of His ministry He prayed. And as He was praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended on Him in a bodily form like a dove (Ref. Luke 3:21,22). We do not know what Jesus might have prayed for at the beginning of His public ministry. But He must have certainly prayed for strength by the anointing of the Holy Spirit. And God anointed Jesus Christ with the Holy Spirit. If Jesus needed the anointing of the Holy Spirit before He ministered to people to meet their needs how much more do we need this blessed anointing! And the surest way to receive this blessing is to pray and ask God for it.
