“Making the Necessary Adjustments”
text: Judges 6:1, 2-6
Here in Judges we find Israel God’s people defeated time & time again; because of their rebellion against God. They had choose to set aside God’s Word, to substitute what was right in their own eyes, therefore the decision to reject & abandon God’s Word, was the result of corruption from within & oppression from without.
The majority of you in this room have found yourselves in a similar situation. You have set aside God’s Word to substitute your own plan & agenda (and as a result you have found yourselves like Israel. (Overpowered by the Midianites) which is a spirit that comes to oppress & depress you, and develop in you a poverty mentality. It is a mentality that sees defeat as a way of life. A mentality that remains comfortable in a complacent condition. It causes you to settle for less then God’s best. Everything becomes ritual and routine. Which means you stay wondering in your wilderness; therefore there is a necessary adjustment that has to be made. * Change your course ofdirection. Prov.14:12 there is a way that seems right, but the end thereof is the way of death. (your way of thinking) your plan/agenda) Prov.3:6 in all your ways acknowledge Him. Recognize His Presence, allow His Power) accept His plan
There are specific decisions that you and I will have to make which will determine what direction we will receive in this declining economy
